Subject: Folkert Hellinga MSc Award 2024

This year, the Land and Water Network is once again awarding an MSc Award to the leading graduation thesis in (applied) environmental sciences, for which the research was conducted at WUR: the Folkert Hellinga MSc award.

The Land & Water Network calls on the chair groups in the direction of land and water in the broadest sense of the word: Landscape architecture & spatial planning, Hydrology & quantitative water management, Forest and Nature conservation policy, Forest ecology & forest management, Environmental Systems Analysis, Development and Rural Innovation, Meteorology and Air quality, Geo-information Science & remote sensing, Soil Physics & Land Management, Soil geography & Landscape, Water Resources Management, and Water Systems and Global Change.

We want to offer successful students an extra stage to show their excellence and without your contribution we will not be able to use the full potential of this Award. In addition, winning the MSc award or an honourable mention is also a compliment to your department!

The MSc award comes with a cash prize of €1000,- , a certificate and a year's subscription to a professional journal of your choice. The closing date for submitting the theses for the upcoming Folkert Hellinga MSc Award is 14 July 2024. All information about admission criteria as well as the application form can be found on our website .

The presentation of the Folkert Hellinga MSc Award will take place on 17 September 2024. You, your colleagues and your fellow professors from other departments involved are invited. Of course, students are also very welcome. The award ceremony will be combined with a substantive networking moment.
